Jennifer is the founder and owner of JM Counseling,Inc. She specializes in working with couples, and families who are dealing with marital difficulties, divorce,  and remarriage issues. She also sees individuals, children and adolescence who struggle with self-esteem, depression, anxiety, grief, and family issues. Her style of counseling is a kind and direct manner with compassion in a culturally sensitive context. Jennifer is a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of Florida. Her professional experience is enhanced by her past work at a community mental health facility as a unit therapist; as well as her experience as a family mediator in the Florida 5th circuit courts. Jennifer graduated with honors from Stetson University with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Milligan College near Johnson City, TN. Jennifer was born and raised in Florida and loves the warm sunshine. She doesn't mind the hurricanes, in fact, she got married the day of Hurricane Jeanne in 2004. In her free time Jennifer enjoys traveling, and spending time with her family.

Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

 

Elizabeth Ibarra-Brletic, MA is a Florida State Registered Intern in Marriage and Family Therapy #IMT1678. She is soon to be licensed in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling. She earned her Bachelor of Art in psychology with a minor in sociology from UCF. She graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) with a Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2011. She is committed to professional development and graduated with a Play Therapy Certificate, which focuses on using expressive interventions to promote healing for all age groups, as well as, parent-child interactions. Elizabeth has received training in Gottman Method Relationship Therapy, which is based on research that began in the 1970’s and continues to this day. She works with individuals, couples and families with cultural assimilation issues, as well as women’s empowerment, relationship difficulties of all types, anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, crisis counseling, trauma, elder care, ADD/ADHD, behavioral and adolescent issues. Elizabeth has experience working with the LGBTQ population. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends as well as dancing and gardening. Experiencing different cultures is another favorite, either by trying different foods, listening to the experiences and recollections of others, reading, documentaries, and traveling.

Elizabeth Ibarra Brletic, MA es una Terapista de Matrimonios y Familias registrada como interna en el estado de la Florida #IMT1678. Ella está pronto a adquirir su licencia como Terapista de Matrimonios y Familias y su licencia en Consejería de Salud Mental. Ella obtuvo su licenciatura de arte en Psicología con mención en Sociología de University of Central Florida (UCF). Se graduó de UCF con una Maestría en Arte en Matrimonio y Terapia Familiar en el 2011.

Ella está comprometida con al desarrollo profesional continuo. Elizabeth se graduó con un Certificado de Terapia de Juego, que se centra en el uso de intervenciones expresivas para promover las propiedades de sanación para todas las edades, así como, las interacciones entre padres e hijos. Elizabeth recibió Certificaciones en los niveles I, II y III en Terapia Relaciónal de el Método Gottman, que se basa en la investigación que comenzó en la década de 1970 y continúa hasta presente. Elizabeth ve al cliente como parte de una agrupación más grande y hace hincapié en las interacciones entre el cliente y otros en su vida como una parte importante de la terapia.

Elizabeth es bilingüe – inglés y español. Trabaja con individuos, parejas y familias con problemas de asimilación cultural, así como el empoderamiento de las mujeres, las dificultades de la relaciones de todo tipo, ansiedad, depresión, abuso doméstico, consejeria para crisis, cuidado de los ancianos, trauma, ADD/ADHD, problemas de comportamiento y adolescentes. Ella también tiene experiencia trabajando con la población LGBTQ.

Le gusta pasar tiempo de calidad con familia y amigos. Elizabeth también disfruta el baile y la jardinería. Experimentar diferentes culturas es otra actividad favorita, probando diferentes alimentos, escuchando las experiencias y recuerdos de los demás, a través de la lectura, documentales o viajando.
